How We Research Medicine Information

Medicine information is only useful if you can see where it comes from.

MedicForce is a medicine storefront built for customers across the Middle East and selected international destinations who want to compare brands, generics, strengths, pack sizes and prices before continuing to the fulfilment partner’s checkout. The catalogue exists to make that comparison clear. This page explains how we research and check the information behind it.

Our source hierarchy

We do not treat all sources as equal. When we research a medicine or a safety claim, we prioritise sources in this order:

  1. Official medicine regulators and health authorities
  2. Manufacturer product documents and patient leaflets
  3. Recognised clinical references and public-health bodies
  4. Pharmacopoeias, ingredient-name systems and drug databases
  5. Reputable medical publishers where official sources are incomplete

We avoid anonymous health blogs, forum posts, thin affiliate pages, social media claims, and unsourced “drug facts” copied from other websites.

Catalogue pages

Each catalogue page explains what a medicine is, what it is commonly used for, and which brands or generics contain the same active ingredient. For catalogue pages, we check:

  • the active ingredient
  • common brand names and generic alternatives
  • strengths and dosage forms
  • manufacturer information
  • product leaflets or summaries where available
  • important safety context from official documents

We organise the catalogue by active ingredient because brand names change between countries. Where possible we follow the World Health Organization’s International Nonproprietary Names system (INN), which identifies a pharmaceutical substance by a shared generic name rather than a local brand.

The international references we rely on most include the WHO INN system, the European Medicines Agency, the UK MHRA, the US FDA with MedlinePlus, and, for Indian-manufactured generics, the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization.

How we handle brands and generics

We compare medicines by active ingredient first, not by marketing name.

A generic medicine contains the same active ingredient as the original brand, but products can still differ in manufacturer, inactive ingredients, appearance, pack size, available strengths and price. We do not dismiss a medicine because it is generic, and we do not praise a medicine simply because it is branded.

Many products in our catalogue are made in India, one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical manufacturing countries. Quality still depends on the specific company and product, so we avoid blanket claims, positive or negative, and name the manufacturer where our data supports it.

Registration and availability are out of our scope

MedicForce is a storefront, not a local dispensing pharmacy, and we do not publish per-country registration or availability status for the medicines in the catalogue.

Whether a specific medicine is registered, restricted or prescription-only in your country is a local, changeable fact that only your regulator, pharmacist or doctor can confirm for your situation. Where a page names other countries’ brand names, that is naming information, not a claim about local registration or legality.

Every important claim needs a source

Before publishing, we check that factual claims about ingredients, uses, safety restrictions, brand and generic differences, and manufacturers are supported by a suitable source. If we cannot support a claim, we remove it, soften it, or say clearly that the situation is uncertain.

We also do not publish unsupported figures. Prices shown in the store are current catalogue values; other numbers likely to change are linked to a source or left out rather than allowed to go stale. We do not invent statistics, approval numbers, success rates or delivery guarantees.

What we do not publish

  • diagnosis instructions or personalised treatment decisions
  • claims that a medicine is right for a person without professional review
  • exaggerated claims about generics or brands
  • copied manufacturer marketing presented as neutral guidance
  • medical claims based only on user reviews, forums or social media
  • registration, legality or customs claims for any country

MedicForce is a storefront and information catalogue. It is not a doctor, pharmacist or emergency service, and the final decision about treatment should always be made with a qualified professional.

Review dates and corrections

Brand availability, prices, product leaflets and pharmacy requirements change over time. We date and review content where timing matters, and we update pages when source information changes.
