Antivirals
This range brings together antiviral medicines for herpesvirus infections, influenza, HIV and viral hepatitis, spanning single ingredients and combination tablets such as Valtrex, Tamiflu, Biktarvy and Harvoni.

Aciclovir Tablets
200mg · 400mg · 800mg
Aciclovir tablets for herpes zoster and herpes simplex. It works best when started at the first sign of an outbreak.

Biktarvy
Bictegravir, Emtricitabine, Tenofovir Alafenamide
50mg + 200mg + 25mg
Bictegravir and emtricitabine tablets for HIV-1 infection. Two antiretrovirals work together to stop the virus from copying itself and spreading.

Tenvir-em
Tenofovir Disoproxil, Emtricitabine
300mg + 200mg
Tenofovir and emtricitabine tablets for HIV and pre-exposure prophylaxis. Combining two antivirals lowers the risk of resistance.

Amantadine Capsules
50mg · 100mg
Amantadine capsules for parkinson's disease and influenza A. It increases dopamine levels in the brain, helping with the stiffness and slowness of Parkinson's.

Trustiva
Tenofovir Disoproxil, Efavirenz, Emtricitabine
300mg + 600mg + 200mg
Tenofovir disoproxil and efavirenz tablets for HIV-1. They combine two antiretrovirals to keep the virus in check.
Key points
- Virus type decides which antiviral applies here, since a medicine for one virus will not treat an infection caused by another.
- Influenza antivirals work differently from antibiotics and from antivirals used against other viruses, a distinction drawn by the CDC.
- HIV treatment usually combines medicines from more than one antiretroviral class rather than a single ingredient alone.
- Hepatitis B and C are different viruses treated with different antivirals in this range, never one interchangeable hepatitis medicine.
Herpesvirus and influenza antivirals
Valtrex (valaciclovir), Zovirax and Aciclovir Tablets (both aciclovir), and Famvir (famciclovir) are herpesvirus antivirals, used for Herpes Zoster, genital herpes and chickenpox caused by related strains of the virus. Tamiflu (oseltamivir) is a separate influenza antiviral, used against influenza A and influenza B rather than herpesviruses, since a flu antiviral does not treat a herpes infection or the reverse.
HIV and viral hepatitis antivirals
Tenvir-em and Trustiva pair Tenofovir Disoproxil with Emtricitabine for HIV-1, and Sustiva and Trustiva both contain Efavirenz. Biktarvy, Kaletra and Zerit use other antiretroviral generics for the same infection. Baraclude and Tenvir treat chronic hepatitis B, while Copegus, Harvoni and Velpanat treat chronic hepatitis C. Movfor (molnupiravir) is the range’s only COVID-19 antiviral, separate from both hepatitis groups.
