Retin-A and Tretinoin 0.025% Cream contain tretinoin, Differin contains adapalene and Benzac AC Gel contains benzoyl peroxide, three topical options for acne vulgaris. Accutane contains isotretinoin, an oral option for severe cases. Desogen, Diane 35 and Yaz also carry an acne vulgaris indication as combined contraceptive tablets, treating it hormonally rather than on the skin.
Elocon, Betnovate, Cutivate, Diprolene, Tenovate and Temovate are topical corticosteroids of different strengths for eczema, dermatitis and psoriasis; Cortaid contains hydrocortisone, a milder option for everyday irritation. Protopic contains tacrolimus, a non-steroid option for atopic dermatitis, and Wynzora combines calcipotriol with betamethasone dipropionate for plaque psoriasis. Soriatane and Neoral, containing acitretin and ciclosporin, are oral options for severe cases.
Candid B Lotion combines clotrimazole with a steroid for a fungal infection with inflammation, and Micogel, Luzu and Nailrox treat fungal infections of the skin or nails. Acticin and Eurax Lotion are used for scabies. Eukroma Cream and Melacare Forte Cream contain hydroquinone for melasma, and Benoquin Cream contains monobenzone for vitiligo. Efudex, Aldara and Oxsoralen, containing fluorouracil, imiquimod and methoxsalen, are used for actinic keratosis, genital warts and psoriasis with vitiligo.
