Mechanism of action
Ovol contains simethicone, an anti-flatulent medicine that works directly in the stomach and intestines. It is not absorbed into the bloodstream. Simethicone acts by lowering the surface tension of trapped gas bubbles in the digestive tract, allowing small bubbles to combine into larger ones. These larger bubbles can then be passed out of the body more easily by belching or passing wind, relieving the discomfort, pressure and bloating caused by excess gas.
Age restrictions
